We are excited to announce our fourth issue theme

HOME

We invite you to submit your written pieces and/or film images for our fourth issue of She Shoots Film, HOME.

Is it a place? A person? A memory? A wound?
Is it the light at a certain hour, the road you can’t forget, or the freedom to leave? Or the grit to stay?
Show us what home means to you - the quiet, the chaos, the longing, the everything.
She Shoots Film invites visual and written submissions that explore the theme of HOME.
If you don’t have something, go on and get on it, get shooting! We encourage you to push boundaries - leverage a previous series or create a new one!

Diaspora, displacement, or return
Found family
Domestic space
Internal space
Shelter, sanctuary, or exile

Submissions open until Sunday 17 August, 2025, 9pm (EST).

Submission Guidelines

Accompanying the work please include a short descriptive statement about your submission to the HOME themed issue and a link to your website or similar (if applicable).

Please read the Terms and Conditions associated with submitting work.

*Note: We only consider images that have been made using the film photography or analogue process mediums.
