She Shoots Film is an independent publisher of film photography and words by women. Founded in 2014, we exist to celebrate women working with film photography through thoughtful community, publishing, and education.

Each print issue explores one significant concept, from identity and motherhood to transformation and home, and invites photographers to interpret that idea in their own way. Alongside film photography, we bring together personal stories, conversations and different perspectives, all through a shared focus on women’s voices and the female gaze.

Open calls, artist interviews, and thoughtful commentary exploring film photography and analogue processes, photographic theory, and the female gaze.

Workshops, guidance, and educational materials designed to deepen your creative practice.
